Union Hill Pinot Noir
The 2009 Union Hill Pinot Noir is 100% Pinot Noir sourced from the Russian River Valley and the Carneros AVA. The entire blend was aged in 100% new French oak for 13 months and bottled the first week of October 2010. The wine displays black cherry and plum aromas and flavors balanced with a hint of earthy terroir. The wine is medium bodied and well balanced with good structure and ripe tannins. A tremendous example of quality Sonoma Pinot Noir that is delicious by itself or paired with roasted meats.

Union Hill Cabernet
The 2008 Union Hill Cabernet Sauvignon was sourced from mountain vineyards in the Pope Valley AVA in northeast Napa. The wine was aged in oak for 14 months (50% new/50% 2 yrs old). Ten months further bottle aging added to the complexity and composure. The wine was released from the winery in September 2010 after 10 months bottle age. We chose to let it rest for an additional two months here before releasing it to market. The result is consistent with prior Union Hill Cabs - classy and refined Cabernet fruit with well-structured tannins and outstanding balance. We think it will age beautifully, but it tastes pretty darn good right now!

Fiddle Creek Pinot Noir Hyland Vineyard
International Wines and the Wine Liberation Society are proud to introduce Fiddle Creek Cellars from Willamette Valley, Oregon. Produced by winemaker Laurent Montalieu in his custom-crush facility in McMinnville, Fiddle Creek’s wines exemplify the integrity, style and quality of the best Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris from the region. Each wine is selected from specific vineyard sites and vinified to the same exacting standards as other Willamette Valley artisan producers.
Dark and brooding, this classic pinot noir displays aromas of rose petals, earth and spice. It is sophisticated and elegant, yet solid and substantial; an iron fist in a velvet glove. The estate grown Hyland Vineyard showcases wild raspberry and black cherry fruit; its firm acid backbone and long lingering finish make it an excellent representation of the vintage in Oregon. A once in a lifetime alignment of perfectly grown Pinot Noir and poignant winemaking.

Ordinary Wine Co. Boneshaker Red
Why the bike, you ask? The “Ordinary” bicycle (also called a Penny Farthing or Boneshaker) was introduced in the 1870’s and became the enthusiasts’ choice for transportation over the next 25 years. It was an innovative design and no ordinary vehicle. And this, my friend, is no ordinary wine. Balanced, smooth, racy with good traction and a magnificent finish. For the freewheeling wine lover in us all! A blend of Zin, Merlot and Petite Sirah. The wine displays aromas of ripe red and dark berry fruits layered with notes of slight white and black pepper and crème de cassis. Spicy and fruit-forward, Boneshaker Red is meant to go well with casual foods and good friends!
-
Ordinary Wine Co. Boneshaker White
Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc, Gewurztraminer, and a small amount of other mixed white varietals with over 30% from Central Coast and North Coast. Long, cool slow ferment in stainless steel tanks to retain the bright varietal aromatics. Aromas of melon, pear, tangerine, floral (rose petal) and slight lychee note along with lemon rind. The same fruit flavors carry into a juicy entry; mid-palate is lush with melon and pear flavors; a slight lingering mineral note at the end.

Orbis Merlot
Orbis was David and Judy Lawrence’s original label and vineyard when they lived in Sonoma. David sold the property and ‘retired’ back home to Magnolia Springs on Alabama’s Gulf Coast, where he moonlights (travaux de nuit!) as our WLS consultant. Orbis was always a Merlot-driven concept (most of David’s vineyards adjacent to his house were Merlot) and continues to be. Most of the Merlot comes from David’s original vineyard in Sonoma. The wine is classically styled, almost Bordeaux like in its elegance.
